Certificates Express can acquire the following certificates from the province of Saskatchewan:

• Birth Certificates
• Certified Photocopies of Birth Certificates
• Genealogical Photocopies of Birth Certificates

Who can apply for a birth certificate?

Birth Certificates may be released to:

• The person whose birth is registered; or
• A person whose name appears as a parent on the registration of the birth
• A guardian of the person whose birth is registered (custodial guardians must provide a copy of guardianship papers)
• A person who has written authorization from a person described above

Service Options:

Regular Service

• Choose this option to receive your certificate within the province's regular delivery time of 3 to 4 weeks.
• Once we have received your completed application, we will process it for you using the standard government procedure.
• In all cases, your birth certificate will be sent by Express Post/Courier to you as soon as the province has completed processing.

Rush Service

• Expedited service is available for an additional fee.
• Certificate processing will be completed within 24 hours.
• In all cases, your birth certificate will be sent by Express Post/Courier to you as soon as the province has completed processing.

Additional Information:

• Processing time for Saskatchewan documents: 3 to 4 weeks.
• Processing time for Same-Day service: 24 hours (does not include delivery)
