Certificates Express can acquire the following certificates from the province of British Columbia:

• Marriage Certificates
• Death Certificates
• Photocopies of Death or Marriage Certificates

Who can apply for a Marriage Certificate?

Marriage Certificates may be released to:

• Either party of the marriage
• a person who has written authorization of either party to the marriage

Who can apply for a Death Certificate?

Death Certificates may be released to:

• A spouse, child, parent or sibling of the deceased
• The executor or administrator of the estate of the deceased
• A person who has written authorization from a person described above

Service Options:

Regular Service

• Choose this option to receive your certificate within the province's regular delivery time frame.
• Once we have received your completed application, we will process it for you using the standard government procedure.
• In all cases, your birth certificate will be mailed to you as soon as the province has completed processing.

Rush Service

• Expedited service is available for an additional fee.
• Certificate processing will be completed within 24 hours.

Additional Information:

• Processing time for British Columbia documents: 5-7 days (does not include delivery)
• Processing time for Rush service: 24 hours (does not include delivery)
