What kinds of Marriage documents are available to order?

Certificates Express can acquire the following certificates from the province of Manitoba:

  • Marriage Certificate: contains the full names of the couple or individuals, their birthdates and birthplaces, date of marriage, place of marriage, registration number, and date of registration.
  • • Certified Copy of Marriage Registration: This photocopy of the actual marriage registration. It is legally the most complete document. The photocopy is certified as a true copy of the original.

Who can apply for a Marriage Certificate?

A certificate can be issued to:

  • Either party of the marriage
  • If both parties to the marriage are deceased, a child or parent of either party
  • A person who has written authorization from a person described above

Manitoba Death Certificate

What kinds of Death documents are available to order?

    Certificates Express can acquire the following certificates from the province of Manitoba:

  • Death Certificate: Contains the individual’s full name, gender, date of death, place of death, place of birth, resident province, state or country, registration number, and date of registration.
  • Certified Copy of Death Registration: This is a photocopy of the actual death registration (does not contain the cause of death). It is legally the most complete document. The photocopy is certified as a true copy of the original.

Who Can Apply For a Death Certificate?

    Death Certificates may be released to:

  • A spouse, child, parent or sibling of the deceased
  • The executor or administrator of the estate of the deceased
  • • A person who has written authorization from a person described above

Service Options:

Regular Service
  • Choose this option to receive your certificate within the province's regular delivery time frame.
  • Once we have received your completed application, we will process it for you using the standard government procedure.
  • In all cases, your marriage or death certificate will be mailed to you as soon as the province has completed processing.
Rush Service
  • Expedited service is available for an additional fee.
  • Certificate processing will be completed within 24 hours.

  • Processing time for Manitoba documents: 7-10 days (does not include delivery)
